Yew Chung International School of Shanghai
105 participants competed in SCA’s largest interschool chess tournament so far, representing 25 schools across the city.
7 rounds were played throughout the course of the day.
The top 4 competitors from each school represented the school teams and entered the school team competition.
During the awards ceremony, trophies, medals and prizes were awarded for the top 3 individuals, the top 3 in age brackets under 10, 8 and 6 years old, the top 3 females and the youngest participant.
Reigning champion Joydeep Laha won 1st place with a clean sweep and 7 points, whilst 2nd 3rd and 4th place all finished on 6 points each.
