Jay Haycock
Jay is a chess coach from the United Kingdom and a FIDE Development Instructor. He has played chess since the age of six and has experience teaching in primary and secondary schools across England. He has also represented Kidderminster First Team in league play.
He works with children and teenagers, from beginners to competitive players, through individual, group and online coaching. Lessons build strong foundations in piece activity and king safety, alongside pattern recognition and practical decision-making. He encourages independent thinking and learning through real games, mistakes and reflection, adapting lessons to students' ages, goals and learning styles.
