The Position: We’re looking for professional chess coaches who are passionate about teaching chess to kids, have a positive attitude and fluent English. Full-time and part-time positions available, the salary depends on qualifications and will be discussed during the interview.

Requirements:

• Fluent English

• Batchelors Degree, and at least two years of work experience

• Experience coaching children and beginner level chess

• Interested in pursuing a career with SCA in Shanghai, China for at least 2 years

• Experience teaching up to 12 students in one group

Responsibilities:

• Delivering chess programmes according to SCA standards and objectives

• Preparing teaching materials and actively contributing to developing chess programmes

• Preparing class and students reports, updating tracking files

• Attending and organizing tournaments and events (offline and online)

• Working with company systems and contributing to continous improvement

The Location: SCA Chess is based in Shanghai, the most cosmopolitan city in China and one of the largest cities in the world. We operate across the city, which means some travel is involved to reach schools, but every coach is primarily based at one of our centres; besides, online programmes is also available.
