The scores of the top 4 players on each school are added up to a total team score in each Qualifier.

Here is an example:

Team A has 50 players. The scores of the four highest scoring players will be added up: 20+19+18+15. If Team B has only 5 players, their highest scoring players have a score of 22+21+20+16, they will rank higher than Team A.

The total team scores from each Qualifier are summed up to determine which school teams qualify for the Final Six and the Challenger’s Final. The top six school teams qualify for the Final Six. Teams that finish in  7th-12th places advance to the challenger’s Final.

Sportsmanship Regulation

SCA emphasizes fair play and good sportsmanship. Fair play rules and proper behavior were explained by Coach Turan in a Tencent Meeting session before the tournament. Anti-cheating measures were applied for the entire duration of the tournament played on Lichess which has a system of detecting cheating. Games are tracked down by moderators and computer algorithms. Players marked for violation may appeal: lichess.org/appeal.

Accounts are marked by a software, which may not be 100% correct. If players disagree with the ruling, they can appeal which would then be reviewed by professional regulators. If a player disagrees, it is still recommended to appeal on the appeal page and accept it, which will provide the player a chance to play again in the future (which otherwise is not allowed).
