After 3 months of exciting battles on the chessboard,  Autumn Season 2022-23 ended successfully with the Final Six tournament held last 13 January on the Lichess platform. The six International Schools which fought tooth and nail for every point were Dehong Chinese International School Shanghai, Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong, International School of Nanshan Shenzhen, SMIC Private School Shanghai, Wellington College International Shanghai and Yew Chung International School of Shanghai Pudong.

These six teams played against each other in the Arena Teams Battle. Unlike in the Qualifier Tournaments where teams with more players in their line up have the better chances, in the Final Six, teams fielded in just their best players to fight for the advantage in every aspect of the competition. The young players played with great intensity and enthusiasm. Once the smoke cleared and the dust settled, we get the clear outcome. We are pleased to announce the results.

Wellington College International Shanghai once again registered a remarkable performance, winning every single Qualifier Tournament and the Final Six Tournament, scoring 71 team points.

Yew Chung International School of Shanghai and SMIC Private School Shanghai both scored 54 team points but the former has better tiebreak points (total score) to clinch second place.
